Atheists, How do you deal with the death of a loved one?

So of I am not mistaken, Atheists do not believe in Heaven, Hell, Reincarnation, etc. (The afterlife) So how do they deal with a loss of a loved one? Since they will never see them again, how do they get over it? People who believe in a certain religion can say "He/she is in a better place. I will meet them one day." but how do the Atheists say goodbye? Is it extra difficult for them to recover or the same as believers?
