Why is there so much confusion about what happens after we die & what does God want us to believe?

There is so much confusion because those who are still alive, US, never have died before to tell everyone how it was and what happens, basically no one knows what is truly gonna happen with who you were after death. But i believe, and this is just me that each of us has a Spirit of another, and what we do that spirit is all us.
