Does it not make perfect sense from the Republican point of view to refuse to raise the debt ceiling?

Stuff like this cracks me up...they should cut everything they have to to not run a budget deficit before agreeing to raise the credit limit, or the problem will always remain. It appears it's the Democrats who don't understand this, and the reason why we can't proceed to raise the cap...
